"We do not know what future challenges face us, but we do know that one day they will arrive. When they do, we need to have trained experts who are capable of seeing multiple sides of the problem and who can communicate solutions effectively across histories, cultures, identities, and—crucially—disciplines."

At Teach the Future, one of our objectives is to teach learners and students across three dimensions.
Thinking wider - not only from their own narrow perspective or field.
Thinking deeper - not only looking at the surface of an issue but digging deeper. We often use the Futures Wheel to allow them to think about second- and third-order consequences of issues.
Thinking further - not only looking at the today or tomorrow but further into the future.
