Inspiring a New Wave of Applicants; roots in Indonesia
Claire's passion for empowering youth through education has deep roots in her Indonesian heritage. Although she currently attends school in Japan, Claire's heart remains firmly connected to her home country, where her parents reside. This unique perspective, bridging two cultures, has given Claire a global outlook while maintaining a strong commitment to her Indonesian community.
When Claire learned about the NGFP-YV awards and the opportunities they presented, she was certain that many in her home community had not heard about this initiative. Driven by a desire to share these valuable prospects with her peers back home, Claire made it her mission to spread the word about futures thinking and the NGFP-YV awards in Indonesia.
"I wanted to give them this opportunity to learn about it," Claire explains, highlighting her commitment to ensuring that young Indonesians have access to futures literacy. This dedication to her roots, combined with her international experience, makes Claire a unique bridge between local needs and global solutions. The impact of Claire's work and the successful Q&A event has been evident in the surge of applications for the 2024 NGFP-YV Awards. This year has seen an increased level of engagement from Indonesian youth, with 41 young individuals from Indonesia taking action to apply for the awards.
