We’re happy to be collaborators in another European Union funded project: FEDORA.
The aim of this project is to regenerate the ecosystem of science learning in secondary education.
We will do this by developing a future-oriented model to enable creative thinking, foresight and active hope as skills needed in formal and informal science education.
We are lucky to be working in this project with so many inspiring partners from 5 different European countries.
From the Teach the Future team Erica Bol and Els Dragt are mainly involved in two activities:
CURRICULA SCANNING
This research activity focuses on scanning the various national curricula and textbooks on elements of futures thinking, specifically in science related subjects.
YOUNG VISIONS SCANNING
We are also scanning and coding the future visions and ideas of youngsters (for example from the Kinder Trendrede) to gain insight on how science & technology plays a role in their visions.
MANIFESTO
Creating an inspiring manifesto that translates the results into into recommendations for education policy makers on how to ‘futurize’ science education.
