Project Launch & Graduation Ceremony
This Monday, March 24th, marks another milestone as these youth celebrate the official launch of the SparkWise Initiative BTC Project alongside the graduation of over 50 brilliant young minds at Egba Odeda High School in Abeokuta, Nigeria.
These students haven't just completed a course – they've mastered practical skills that directly tackle pressing community challenges:
Solar installation and repair expertise
Biogas technology for sustainable cooking solutions
Electronics repair and sustainability practices
Creating solar-powered household appliances from plastic and electronic waste
Building on International Recognition
The SXSW EDU recognition proved what we've always known – these students possess extraordinary talent and vision. Their ingenious approach to converting discarded materials into functional solar-powered devices captivated judges and audiences alike in Austin.
This local celebration brings their journey full circle, highlighting how international acclaim translates to real community impact. Each graduate represents a multiplier effect, taking these vital skills back to their neighborhoods and extending the reach of sustainable energy solutions.
